Behind the Scenes with Joy Behar: Exclusive Insights into ‘The View’

Joy Behar faces backlash for alleged ‘mean’ behavior: read comments for full story.

The View on ABC has gained notoriety for its contentious debates and acerbic comments. Critics argue that the hosts prioritize their personal political agendas over constructive dialogues. The show attempts to attract viewers with provocative comments and arguments, but its future remains uncertain, particularly as Disney looks to divest from the underperforming channel.

During a recent appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, a prominent figure in pop culture, made headlines with her candid remarks about Joy Behar, one of the hosts of The View. When questioned about her interactions with different celebrities, Snooki did not hold back in sharing her opinions about Behar, surprising Cohen with her directness.

Snooki claimed that Behar has been the most impolite celebrity she has come across since rising to fame on “Jersey Shore” in the last 14 years.

Cohen seemed surprised and inquired once more of Snooki whether Behar had been disrespectful towards her.

“Joy was so mean to me,” the MTV star replied without hesitation.

Cohen was enthusiastic to explore further. “She cornered me in the bathroom!” Snooki alleged before adding, “And said, ‘You’re not Italian!’”

Upon hearing this, the host gasped, which led Snooki, 35, to firmly stand by her claim.

Cohen inquired about how the co-host of “Messyness” reacted in the situation. Snooki replied, “I responded with, ‘Alright, ma’am.’”

Snooki didn’t say when she had a rude interaction with Behar, but in early 2011, she shared a video making fun of The View host. The video, which has since been removed, showed Snooki and her friend Farley pretending to be elderly Jewish women. Snooki, playing the character “Joy B,” joked about how “trashy” Snooki was.

The video displayed the pair insulting Behar by calling her an “Italian wannabe” and making fun of her for hating the “Jersey Shore” actors. They also said that kids like them ruined her childhood during “the Great Depression.”

Snooki later removed the video because she felt that people were taking it too seriously.
