Kate Middleton’s three-word emotional response when she heard that a royal fan had been diagnosed with cancer
Kate Middleton has finally put an end to the rumors about her health and whereabouts after months of them going around. The Princess of Wales told the public and the media about her cancer diagnosis in a touching video that came out on March 22.
People in Britain and around the world who follow Kate were shocked by this news. People sent Kate lots of well wishes and messages of support, which showed her how much she is loved.
In the video, the Princess said, “I wanted to take this chance to personally thank you for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding while I was recovering from surgery.” Everyone in my family has had a very hard couple of months, but I’ve had a great medical team who have taken great care of me, and I’m so thankful.
She said that doctors found her cancer when they did tests after her planned surgery on her abdomen. It took her a while to tell everyone about the diagnosis because she and William were trying to figure out how to tell the kids first.
“As you might guess, this has taken a while. I had to wait a while to start my treatment after having major surgery. Mostly, though, it took some time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that they could understand and to reassure them that I will be okay. Remember what I told them? I’m fine and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help my mind, body, and spirit heal.
Because I’m getting treatment, my family and I need some time, space, and privacy. We hope you understand.” I’ve always felt very happy at work, and I can’t wait to get back when I can. “But for now I need to focus on getting better,” she said.
Kate also talked about people who are fighting cancer.
No matter what form this disease takes, please don’t give up faith or hope. “You’re not by yourself,” the princess told her.
Kate has been praised over the years for her work to make mental health problems less of a taboo subject among young people and for how well she interacts with the public during her royal duties.
When Middleton talks to kids in public, she often gets down on their level to show that she is friendly, both to the kids and to all of her fans when she makes official appearances.
Recently, news came out about an emotional meeting between a cancer survivor and Kate Middleton.
In the middle of Kate’s battle with cancer, royal fan Paul Philip Roberts, now 53, who had surgery for lung cancer remembered meeting the princess and said that her caring nature was clear in that touching moment. The sweet moment happened when Kate and William went to Blackpool in 2019.
News outlet Express says that Roberts thanked Kate for showing him that “she cares,” and he told PA that his “heart goes out to her” after the incident.
The first thing Kate said to him after he told her his diagnosis was, “Just keep going.”
“I had just gotten out of the hospital, and Kate Middleton and Prince William were touring Blackpool. That’s when I was able to talk to her,” he told PA. “She did a walkabout. William went to one side, and she came back the other way. She then came to my side, and we talked for five minutes.”
“We were talking, and I told her, ‘My life has changed. It was so hard. You have to feel everything.’” She asked, “What kind of cancer is it?” I told her it was stage three and that my lung was out. She said, “Oh my God, that’s awful,” told me to “just keep going,” and gave us a hug.
Roberts said it was clear to him that she really cared. He said that he thought the Princess of Wales’s decision to tell everyone about her cancer would help thousands of other people.
“When you think about how many people she might have saved, it’s good for the community and the world,” he told PA. He ended by sending Kate Middleton his own message.
“Make it a point to always get stronger.” That’s what I want her to hear: work on getting stronger and get all the help you can because it’s very important. I wish her the best of luck and hope she makes it through, especially for her family.
