Pictured here is child actress, Hayley Catherine Rose Vivien Mills, or as she’s known professionally, Hayley Mills along with her big sister Juliet Mills. Early in her career, young Hayley was hailed as a promising newcomer, won the Academy Juvenile Award for Disney’s Pollyanna (1960). She appeared in six films for Disney, including her infamous dual role as twins Susan and Sharon in The Parent Trap (1961). She received the Disney Legend Award and then went on to more mature roles in the late 60s.
Juliet Maryon Mills, also an actress also got her start in the business as a child. Before progressing to film and television work, she was nominated for a Tony Award for her stage performance in Five Finger Exercise in 1960.

Pictured here is actress and singer Cybill Shepherd who became a fashion icon after being named “Miss Teenage Memphis” during the Memphis Model of the Year contest back in 1966. She won Model of the Year in 1968 and officially launched her career at 18 years-old Cybill Shepherd. She went on to become a spokesperson for L’Oreal and graced the covers of many popular magazines.
The American model and singer, turned actress, landed some of her better-known roles throughout the 1970s. In 1971 she was cast as Jacy in The Last Picture Show, she played Kelly in The Heartbreak Kid in 1972 and then she got the role of Betsy in Taxi Driver in 1976. From there her popularity continued to bloom, she spent a chunk of the 1980s as Maddie Hayes in the popular show Moonlighting, before landing her own show Cybill which ran from 1995–1998.

These two stunning beach beauties are non-other than Princess Leia and her stunt double Tracy Eddon for the film. Both women are wearing the infamous ‘slave Leia’ golden bikini that elevated Carrie Fisher to sex icon status upon sight. The bikini itself is also a pop culture icon in its own right, having spawned various spoofs and parodies and even its very own dedicated fansite. Yvonne Joyce Craig was a ballet dancer and actress best known as a pioneer of female superheroes for her role as Batgirl in the 1960s Batman television series. Barbara Gordon (daughter to Commissioner Gordon), librarian at the Gotham Library by day, by night she fights crime with Gotham’s finest– and in heels. She even saved Batman and Robin when Killer Moth had them cocooned. Then she rode off on her Batgirl-cycle.
Craig’s acting career was sporadic at best after Batman, although she was also Marta, the green-skinned Orion slave girl in Star Trek episode “Whom Gods Destroy” (1969) which is pretty cool. She stopped acting in 1990 and went on to pursue a career as a real estate broker. From 2009 to 2011, she was the voice of “Grandma” on the popular children’s show Olivia. Then in 2000, Craig published an autobiography; From Ballet to the Batcave and Beyond. She died of metastatic breast cancer in August of 2015.

It was backstage at the Roxy in Los Angeles, California that music legends George Harrison and Bob Marley met for the first time. It was July 13, 1975 and the two idols of the era had massive international tours going on at the time. But each man was a fan of the other and happy to have finally met.
George Harrison was a fan of Bob Marley’s music and he had just finished recording the album Extra Texture at the time of the meeting. Harrison was invited backstage and upon hearing that he was coming back, Marley reportedly got excited, lit up a joint, and exclaimed, “Ras Beatle!”
The two expressed their mutual admiration for each other over a smoke and that was that.

Pictured here is the all-girl band known as “The Runaways” back in the late 1970’s. The band consisted of lead vocalist Cherie Ann Currie, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Sandy West, Jackie Fox and Vicki Blue. Currie rocked the mid-to-late 1970s so hard, she was dubbed “the lost daughter of Iggy Pop and Brigitte Bardot”.
After the Runaways split up, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, and Cherie Currie all had very successful solo careers. Currie also decided to team up with her identical twin sister, Marie Currie to create an album. Their duet “Since You Been Gone”, charted number 95 on US charts.

The Swedish pop group was formed in 1972 by members Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The name ABBA was derived from the first letter in each of their names and they went on to become one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music. They consistently topped charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982.
With estimates ranging from over 140 to over 500 million sold records Abba is one of the best-selling bands in the US and from outside the English-speaking world. They are also, the best-selling band of all time from continental Europe.

The actress is perhaps best known for her role as Bond girl Tiffany Case in Diamonds Are Forever (1971), but she began acting on the radio at the young age of just age six. Her screen debut was in December 1949, at the age of 9, in the first full-length made-for-TV movie, a production of A Christmas Carol.
Her first major studio film debut was in Summer Love (1958) starring John Saxon. From there she went on to appear in The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker (1959), The Lost World (1960), Tender Is the Night (1962), Who’s Been Sleeping in My Bed? (1963) and Honeymoon Hotel (1964) among others.

Pictured here is the late Denise Katrina Matthews or as she’s better known as Vanity. The Canadian singer, songwriter, dancer, actress and model, had a career spanning from the early 1980s into the mid-1990s.
She became the lead singer of Vanity 6 in 1981– they were best known for their 1982 hit “Nasty Girl”. After the all-girl trio disbanded in 1983 and Vanity pursued a solo music career. She also appeared in films and many magazines worldwide before she decided to leave the spotlight completely and concentrate on evangelism.

Phoebe Cates starred in Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982, and she was later quoted as saying that she had the most fun in filming that movie. The following year, she co-starred alongside Matthew Modine and Betsy Russell in “Private School”. She also sang two songs on its soundtrack, “Just One Touch” and “How Do I Let You Know”.
Other big roles Cates landed was the first two “Gremlins” movies and another 1990s favorite, “Drop Dead Fred”. She was a teen icon, her face was on the cover of just about every popular magazine: Seventeen, Tiger Beat, and Teen Beat to name a few.

Pink Floyd was originally formed in London, but their progressive and psychedelic music quickly achieved international success. They distinguished themselves from other psychedelic groups of the time with their philosophical lyrics, extended compositions, and elaborate live shows. Not only did they become one of the most commercially successful groups of the era, but also one of the most influential groups in music history. Here are Pink Floyd members Nick Mason, David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Richard Wright in the recording studio back in 1972. They were recording their eighth studio album, The Dark Side of the Moon, which would go on to stay on Billboards top 200 albums for 741 weeks consecutively.

In 1978, Candy was a college student working in a dress shop and as a waitress, when she saw their ad in the paper. Her husband urged her to try out so she did and beat out more than 3,500 other models. Her natural beauty and girl-next-door looks were exactly what they were looking for. She was almost too perfect, seemingly fabricated by the magazine, but it really was all her.
She gained considerable celebrity status after the shoot and pursued modeling and acting. By 1981 however, she realized Hollywood was not for her and went right back to college. She finished her bachelor’s in journalism and then a masters in human relations. She continued fulfilling her publicity obligations for the magazine but eventually phased out of that lifestyle completely.

Model turned actress Candice Bergen, took on a number of high-profile roles in the 1970s, including starred in the highly controversial Western Soldier Blue and the Burt Reynolds romantic comedy Starting Over in 1979, which earned her an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for best supporting actress. She took on the world of television as Murphy Brown from 1988-98 and scored another successful series, Boston Legal from 2005–08. As for the present, she has two films coming out this year, and two already in progress and slated for a 2018 release.

Janis gave fused her rock with the Blues, giving it more depth. Janis was also widely regarded for her ‘electric’ stage presence and though she died at just 27-years old, she remains one of the top-selling musicians in the United States. In 1995, she was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Despite having only released three albums before her untimely death, Janis Joplin is arguably one of the most prominent female rock stars of all time and certainly the biggest of her era. She was found dead of a heroin overdose in bed. Described as having “a devastatingly original voice” and a presence that was both “overpowering and deeply vulnerable”, news of her death shook the music world which was still processing the loss of Jimi Hendrix sixteen days earlier.

Here we have Tina Turner, owning the stage as usual. The original ‘Queen Bee Diva’, strutting through the 60’s and 70’s like she owned the decades… which she kind of did. That amazing voice, all that sparkle, and legs for days. She was born to be an icon. Her reign continued throughout the 80’s after her divorce from Ike Turner. She rebuilt her career by launching a major comeback through live performances. Even today, while in semi-retirement, she remains one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. At the end of 2016, Turner announced that she has been working in collaboration with Phyllida Lloyd on Tina, a new musical based on her life story.

Roller skating has been around for decades. Its popularity may wax and wane like the moon, but it’s always around. The 1970s and 1980s are widely recognized as roller skating’s heyday. It seemed everyone was skating everywhere they went and major magazines of the time such as People and Tiger Beat often featured celebrities with roller skates strapped to their feet on the cover. There were also magazines specifically devoted to the social sport and even some that focused solely on roller derby.

Actress Natalie Wood was just 16-years old when she co-starred with James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause back in 1955. The film is widely regarded as a groundbreaking attempt to portray “the moral decay of American youth”. It was also quite the critique on parenting style and the conflicts that arise between generations.
The film also achieved iconic status simply because of James Dean’s presence in it. The cultural icon had just received an Oscar nomination for his performance in East of Eden and he died tragically in a car accident before the film’s release. It would go on to be his most celebrated role and in 1990, Rebel Without a Cause was added to the Library of Congress’s National Film Registry as being deemed “culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant”.

His first RCA single “Heartbreak Hotel” was released in January of 1965 and wasted no time in becoming a number-one hit in the US.

Born Raymon Lee Cramton, Chad Everett, was well known for his role as Dr. Joe Gannon in the TV drama Medical Center which aired from 1969 to 1976. While this may have been his breakthrough role and his most famous, he was in more than 40 films and television series throughout the course of his career.
He appeared in The Singing Nun, Centennial, Hagen, Airplane II: The Sequel, Star Command, and Mulholland Drive. He also guest-starred in television series such as Melrose Place, The Nanny, Touched by an Angel, Diagnosis: Murder, Caroline in the City, Murder, She Wrote, The Red Skelton Show, and Route 66.

Actress and model Barbara Bach played Bond girl Anya Amasova in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) four years later she was the wife of Ringo Starr, former member of legendary rock group the Beatles. Bach already had two children with her ex-husband Augusto Gregorini. After they split, she took the kids with her to the United States. Starr and his ex-wife Maureen also had three children together, so Bach and Starr were wrangling five kids together. Their marriage has been going strong for over 35-years now, and the two are still very much in love and still sing each other adorable praises during interviews.

Miss World America slipped into her star-spangled crime fighting ensemble and morphed into the all-American hero and icon Wonder Woman. It may not seem like much today, but back in the 1970s, women were standing up for gender equality. It was still largely viewed that women had to be ‘delicate’ to be attractive, that strength and empowerment was for men or undesirable women… Lynda Carter smashed those ideas to bits. She was smart, strong, heroic, and still incredibly sexy. Even after her Wonder Woman days were over, Lynda continued her battle for justice off-screen as an advocate for LGBT rights and eventually, she also joined efforts in finding the cure for cancer.

Rush formed in 1968 and is famous for its incredibly complex compositions, and eclectic lyrical motifs. Frontman Geddy Lee rocks the bass guitar, keyboards, and lead vocals. On backup vocals and guitars is Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart brings up the rear with drums, percussion, and lyrics. Peart is known to draw heavily on science fiction, fantasy, and philosophy an over the years the band’s sound has evolved from a bluesy-hard rock beginning into more progressive rock with heavy use of synthesizers. By the time the early 1990s rolled around, Rush found its way home to a more guitar-driven hard rock sound.

The Dick Van Dyke Show ran from 1961 to 1966, with a total of 158 half-hour episodes throughout over five seasons. It was nominated for 25 Primetime Emmy Awards and won 15. It was ranked at 13 on TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.
After winning hearts on The Dick Van Dyke Show, Mary Tyler Moore went on to cement her iconic status with her own self-titled sitcom. As a female-driven show, it was very different from what audiences of the 1970s was used to. It was groundbreaking really, it took on gender/workplace equality, premarital sex, and homosexuality with outstandingly well-written comedy in between.

Actor and comedian Chris Farley was widely known for his energetic and rather ‘loud’ comedic style. Like many before him, his popularity began to soar after becoming a cast member of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. He flourished on SNL from 1990 to 1995. Farley made the shift and began focusing more on his film acting career. Tommy Boy and Black Sheep
He also appeared in the films Wayne’s World, Coneheads, Airheads, and was uncredited in Billy Madison. Tragically, Farley died just as he was really getting the ball rolling in his career. He was only 33-years old when he met his end in 1997 after a drug overdose.

In addition to being a fashion model (and singer) Beverle Lorence “Bebe” Buell was Playboy magazine’s November 1974 Playmate of the Month. She also gained a lot of publicity when she became romantically involved with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, she is the mother of his daughter, actress Liv Tyler. Buell also wrote an autobiography in 2001 titled Rebel Heart: An American Rock and Roll Journey –it was a New York Times bestseller.

Here we have the Ramones, making their way through Texas on tour just a year after their formation. The name “Ramone” stems from Paul McCartney: back in 1960 to 1961 when the Beatles were still relatively unknown, McCartney briefly used the stage name “Paul Ramon”.
Jeffrey Ross Hyman (Joey Ramone) co-found the punk band the Ramones in 1975 along with Jeffrey Hyman, John Cummings, and Douglas Colvin all of whom adopted stage names using “Ramone” as their surname. Singer-songwriter and lead vocalist Joey Ramone went on to become a countercultural icon. In 2002, the Ramones were voted the second greatest rock and roll band ever in Spin, appropriately coming in second only to the Beatles.

It’s Linda Blair, best known for her role of young Regan MacNeil in the Exorcist (1973) hanging out with three of the Jacksons. After her infamous role as the possessed child, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe, she then reprised her role in the 1977 sequel: Exorcist II: The Heretic and starred in numerous controversial television dramas and horror films.
All nine of the Jackson siblings have gold records to their credits, but it was Michael and Janet’s icon status which led the Jacksons to become known as the “Royal Family of Pop”. The Jackson 5 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, and Michael was inducted as a solo artist in 2001. The Jacksons and Michael and Janet as solo artists all received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Here’s a photo you may not have seen, it is from the batch of photos taken (but not chosen) from the photo shoot for AC-DC’s Highway to Hell album cover back in 1979. The Australian hard rock band was formed in Sydney back in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. While they are a hard rock band with blues-rock influences, they have also been widely considered a heavy metal band. But at the end of the day, it’s all “rock and roll”.

Carole Penny Marshall is probably best known for her role as Marshall was cast as Laverne DeFazio from the show Laverne & Shirley, however she first played that role as a guest appearance on the sitcom Happy Days in 1975. Her performance was very well received, so much that it’s what prompted the spin-off sitcom, Laverne & Shirley. From 1976 until 1983, she played Laverne, a performance that earned her three Golden Globe nominations. She moved on to directing films in the late 80’s, titles such as Big (1988), Awakenings (1990), A League of Their Own (1992) among others make up her directing reel.

Harrison Ford is a legend on many levels: Star Wars, Witness, Patriot Games, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, American Graffiti…. It’s no secret that Ford has landed far cooler roles than most throughout his extensive career and he’s still going.
Having just finished up with Blade Runner 2049 and with yet another Indiana Jones project in the works, Ford shows no signs of slowing down and for that we applaud him.

Why yes that is America’s beloved sitcom dad from Home Improvement and Last Man Standing, Tim Allen. As it turns out, Allen was quite the coke dealer back in the 1970s and he almost went away for life after getting busted with enough coke on him to get charged with trafficking.
It was on October 2, 1978, that Tim Allen was arrested in an airport for possession of over 650 grams (1.4 lb) of cocaine. To avoid spending the rest of his life in prison he decided to plead guilty and provide all the names he had of dealers in the area. In exchange, he was sentenced three to seven years. He was paroled in June of 1981 after serving just 2 years and 4 months.

It was Moore’s first time stepping in Sean Connery’s shoes as the British spy. And according to Seymour, he was a very good kisser! Moore was the longest serving Bond, portraying the spy in a total of six more films until finally retiring from the role in 1985. He was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991, and was then knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 for “services to charity”. Moore also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. Sadly, he passed away in May of 2017 from Cancer.

Sitting pretty with a kitty is Pink Floyd co-founding member Roger Keith “Syd” Barrett. Barrett was the original lead singer, guitarist, and the principal songwriter for the band. He is also credited with naming the band. Then in April 1968, David Gilmour took over as their new guitarist, and Barrett was briefly hospitalized (and excluded from Pink Floyd) amid much speculation of mental illness. Barrett left the music industry in 1972 (less than 10 years into the business). He retired from all forms of public life and remained very guarded and private until his death in 2006.
Pink Floyd went on to create several tributes to him, most notably was the 1975 album Wish You Were Here, which included “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, as a homage to Barrett.

Irwin was pretty much the coolest zookeeping, croc hunting, television personality, and documentarian in the history of television. His TV series The Crocodile Hunter, which he co-hosted with his wife Terri, ran from 1996 until 2007. They also hosted the shows Croc Files (1999–2001), The Crocodile Hunter Diaries (2002–2006) and New Breed Vets (2005).
When they weren’t out filming and exploring in the wild, they owned and operated Australia Zoo, which was founded by Irwin’s parents. Tragically, Irwin died after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming an underwater documentary titled Ocean’s Deadliest on September 4, 2006.

The Beatles formed in 1960 and by late 1963, they were already a household name in the United Kingdom and much of Europe. The phenomenon known as “Beatlemania” was in full effect and had spread worldwide. Although, by all accounts, The Beatles still had no idea what was in store for them when they headed to America in February of 1964.
They touched down in New York and were greeted by about 3,000 screaming fans—mostly teens. The band was stunned. “Seeing thousands of kids there to meet us made us realize just how popular we were there”. From there on out, they couldn’t go anywhere without girls screaming, crying, and often throwing their undergarments at them.

After retiring from the 49ers, Walsh spent several years as a sports broadcaster before returning to coaching. He became the head coach at Stanford, a position he held for three seasons.

When you’re the King of Rock n’ Roll, why would you ever want to dress up as anything else? He IS a costume, people dress up as Elvis for a living! Here we have a photo of a barely costumed Elvis Presley having a beer alongside actress Jeanne Carmen, who dressed as a “squaw” for this Halloween party back in 1957. The party was thrown by designer Sy Devore and it was held at Lucy’s New Orleans restaurant in Los Angeles, California.

It was back in the early summer of 1968 when Paul McCartney called up war photographer Don McCullin and booked him for a photo shoot with the Beatles. Naturally, McCullin accepted and they spent the whole day of July 28, 1968 taking mad photographs of the whole band across seven key locations around London.
Others joined them on what became known as the ‘Mad Day Out’, all of whom were armed with cameras: Ronald Fitzgibbon, Stephen Goldblatt, Tom Murray, Tony Bramwell and Mal Evans with her six-year-old son Gary. Of course Yoko Ono and McCartney’s girlfriend Francie Schwartz also decided to tag along. The Beatles certainly got their wish to step away from the recording studio and get a whole new batch of publicity stills.

English musician and vocalist Rory Storm was the frontman of Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, a band who Ringo Starr was the drummer for before he joined the Beatles and replaced Pete Best on drums in 1962.
The Hurricanes were wildly popular in the Liverpool and Hamburg club scenes, however, their recording career didn’t go quite as well. They only released two singles (and one additional compilation track) during their heyday in the early 1960s, and none of it made the charts.
Sadly, Storm developed a chest infection and needed sleeping pills to get any rest at all. He ended up accidentally overdosing and died in September of 1972. His mother was also found dead next to him. She committed suicide after finding her son dead.

The 80-lap race was won by Jo Siffert in a Rob Walker Lotus 49. It was his first Formula One victory, the first victory by a Swiss driver, and it was the last time the event was won by a private entrant.

Anthony Daniels is best known for the role of C-3PO. He is also the only actor to have appeared not only in all of the major films in the series but also the many spin-offs projects, including television and video games.
Daniels appeared on various British television dramas and he was also the voice of Legolas in the Ralph Bakshi animated adaptation of The Lord of the Rings back in 1978.

They finally managed to forge an identifiable sound, drawn from hard rock, folk, pop, and rhythm and blues. It set their tone and paved the way for the commercial breakthrough they had with their follow-up album, Jailbreak. It was their first album to chart in the UK, it hit #60.

Whether he’s traveling by horse or hog, Sam Elliott always manages to look cool. While he frequently landed roles as ranchers and cowboys, here he is on the set of the film Mask, in which he plays a member of a motorcycle gang.
The film starred Cher, Sam Elliott, and Eric Stoltz. It is based on the life and early death of a boy who suffered from craniodiaphyseal dysplasia, Roy L. “Rocky” Dennis. The disorder is extremely rare and is often called lionitis due to the disfigurements is causes. Mask won the Academy Award for Best Makeup. Cher and Stoltz were both nominated for Golden Globes.

Rocking plaid and jams like Saturday Night and Shang-A-Lang… The Bay City Rollers were at the height of their popularity in the mid 1970s. They group underwent multiple changes as far as members go but many will tell you they were at their best with the original line-up.
The founding members consisted of guitarists Eric Faulkner and Stuart John Wood, singer Les McKeown, bassist Alan Longmuir, and drummer Derek Longmuir.
The pop sensations had teeny boppers screaming their names worldwide and were considered “the first of many acts heralded as the ‘biggest group since the Beatles’.

These original cast members laid the foundation of SNL and helped make it what it is today– iconic. Throughout the decades SNL has remained a tremendous talent farm. With a run spanning over three decades, it’s natural that SNL is where so many brilliant comedy stars got their start. And with writers like Tina Fey, Adam Sandler, and Eddie Murphy (among many, many other seasoned comedians writing for the show) it’s no wonder SNL is still going strong.

Pictured here is one of the last living people of the film industry’s Golden Age, the Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas along with his son the actor Michael Douglas. The duo were on the set of Cast a Giant Shadow, in which they both had roles.
Michael isn’t the only child of Kirk’s that followed in his footsteps, all four of his sons became involved in the entertainment industry. Douglas married twice, first to Diana Dill and they had Michael Douglas and Producer Joel Douglas. Afterwards, Kirk married producer Anne Buydens and they also had two sons: Peter Douglas who is also a producer and Eric Douglas, who was an actor before his death in 2004.

Here is a shot of Bon Scott and Angus Young of the rock band AC-DC just relaxing backstage in Atlanta, Georgia in 1978. This was taken during the “Let there be Rock” tour. They also released the album Powerage in 1978, and next, it would be Highway to Hell (1979), which would be the last album Lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott would be alive for. He died on February 19, 1980, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group considered disbanding but decided to find a new vocalist. When the band released their new album, Back in Black, it was made as a tribute to Bon Scott and it became their all-time best-seller.

My Three Sons was a situational comedy series that ran from 1960 to 1965, first on ABC, and then later moved to CBS until its finale which took place in April of 1972. The show chronicles the life of widower Steven Douglas (Fred MacMurray) who is an aeronautical engineer raising his three sons on his own.
It was a cornerstone of both of the networks it ran on. With 380 episodes produced, it came in second place as the longest running live-action sitcom on television, only to The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, and it is now tied with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (12 seasons).

Once upon a time the popular 70’s pop group Tony Orlando and Dawn hosted a variety show. The show originally aired as a summer replacement for `The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour. and was entitled The Tony Orlando and Dawn Rainbow Hour.
In the same vein as its predecessor, the show featured sarcastic back-and-forth banter between Orlando, Hopkins and Vincent. Eventually comedic legend George Carlin joined the mix and began appearing regularly on the show.

Ah yes, the King and Ann Margret, cruising in a race car on the set of Viva Las Vegas back in 1964. The Hollywood bombshell was often referred to her as the ‘female Elvis’, for her sexy, throaty singing voice had the public and her love for motorcycles earned her a daredevil reputation. She had a seven-year film contract from 20th Century Fox which landed her in the co-star seat with big names like Jack Nicholson, John Wayne, and Elvis.
As they worked together, Ann-Margret and Elvis discovered they shared many things in common and soon their relationship became romantic. Elvis and close friends all confirmed that aside from Elvis Presley’s family, Ann-Margret became the most important woman in the King’s life.
Inevitably, though, it had to end, at least to Ann-Margret it seemed. She explained in her autobiography:
“There were other factors in Elvis’s life that forced him apart from me, and I understood them. Elvis had always been honest with me, but still, it was a confusing situation. We continued to see each other periodically until we had dated for almost a year. Then everything halted. We knew the relationship had to end, that Elvis had to fulfill his commitment.” That commitment was to marry Pricilla.

Today, Caroline is the only surviving child of President Kennedy and former First Lady Jacqueline Onassis. She grew up to become a prominent author, attorney, and diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Japan from 2013 to 2017. Much like her mother, she’s an advocate for education reform and stays involved with charitable work.

She married the musician Paul Simon, (pictured here) in 1983 and they were divorced a year later. Certainly not the shortest Hollywood marriage, but still pretty impressive. The romance between them lasted several years, but they fought too much to make a marriage work. They dated after their divorce, as Fisher explained it, “We were together for more than 12 years (off and on) and we traveled a lot. The last place we went to was the Amazon, which I recommend if you like mosquitoes.”

The beautiful Stefanie Powers is probably best known for her role as Jennifer Hart in the mystery television series Hart to Hart, in which she starred alongside Robert Wagner (who played her husband Jonathan Hart).
The series aired for five seasons from 1979 to 1984, and follows a wealthy couple who lead a glamorous lifestyle working as amateur detectives. The jet setting couple always finds themselves embroiled in some mysterious crime the must work together to solve. Powers and Wagner also reprised their roles for eight Hart to Hart TV movies in the 1990’s.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, The Ronettes were the first “bad girls of rock” and one of the most popular groups in the 1960s. With nine songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and five Top 40 hits, the trio was Phil Spector’s most successful act for a time, and the lead singer Veronica Bennett became his wife. The other Ronettes were Veronica’s older sister Estelle Bennett and their cousin Nedra Talley.
Among their most famous songs are titles such as “Baby, I Love You”, “(The Best Part of) Breakin’ Up”, Grammy Award-winning song “Walking in the Rain” and “Be My Baby” which was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

Cat Stevens created his own beautiful blend of folk, pop, rock, and Islamic music and it’s safe to say the world responded rather well to it. His debut album was released in 1967 and it reached the top 10 in the UK. The album’s title song “Matthew and Son” charted at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. Then, his albums Tea for the Tillerman (1970) and Teaser and the Firecat (1971) were both certified triple platinum in the US by the RIAA.
He consistently released hit after hit, earned two ASCAP songwriting awards, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and received the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection.
